From Kaifeng to the Kotel: A new exhibit

A beautiful, new, educational exhibit about Kaifeng Jews recently opened at Shavei Israel’s Ma’ani Center. Designed mainly with magnificent pictorial panels, it tells the story of the Kaifeng Jews from the past to the reawakening of their Jewish spirit, to their dreams of aliyah and living a Jewish life.
Sections include History, Holidays, Education, Aliyah and more. Curating the exhibit was a huge effort by much of the staff, especially Eran Barzilay, our Chinese Jews Community Coordinator and Laura Ben-David, whose photos appear in the exhibit.
